Sofia Alduenda serves as the Accounting Manager, bringing a diverse background in accounting, finance, and sustainability to the forefront of Square One Development’s financial operations. A native of San Diego, Sofia’s journey real estate and accounting began with her academic pursuits at Southwestern College, where she earned associate’s degrees in Accounting, Economics, and Business, followed by a distinguished graduation cum laude with a Bachelor’s in Business from San Diego State University.

Before joining Square One, Sofia honed her skills in a boutique accounting firm environment. Her role evolved from a bookkeeper to a staff accountant, where she managed day-to-day accounting tasks for clients across various industries, including nonprofits, interior design, and international freight, to name a few.

In her current role as Accounting Manager, Sofia oversees the management of all accounting operations, from accounts receivable and payable to the meticulous reconciliation of bank accounts and monthly financial entries. Her expertise extends to managing tenant billings, initiating collections, and ensuring the accuracy of lease and financial data within the company’s system. Furthermore, Sofia plays a pivotal role in tracking and reporting on the company’s capital and tenant improvements, ensuring financial integrity and oversight across Square One’s expansive portfolio.

Beyond her primary responsibilities, Sofia is actively involved in Square One’s innovative solar project, overseeing the financial and operational efficiency of solar panels across select properties. This initiative not only underscores her versatility and commitment to sustainability but also positions Square One as a forward-thinking leader in eco-friendly real estate practices.

Sofia’s journey from a bookkeeper to a key figure in Square One’s financial management reflects her adaptability, expertise, and unwavering dedication to excellence in the field of accounting and real estate.

Outside of her professional endeavors, Sofia is a passionate supporter of nature and conservation efforts, contributing to local causes such as the Japanese Friendship Garden in Balboa Park and the San Diego Zoo.
